(Toronto, February 27, 2006) 1456212 Ontario Inc. (formerly known as Kremko Inc./Krèmko Inc.) filed an assignment in bankruptcy. Ernst & Young Inc. was appointed trustee of the estate of 1456212 Ontario Inc. The first meeting of creditors will be held on the 14th day of March, 2006 at 10 o'clock a.m. at the office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy, at 25 St. Clair Avenue East 6th Floor, Toronto, Ontario.

(Toronto, April 15, 2005) - KremeKo Inc. / KrèmeKo Inc. ("KKI"), the exclusive franchisee of Krispy Kreme Doughnut stores in all provinces in Canada except for British Columbia, was subject to an application to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (the "Court") pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act ("CCAA"). The Court made an order (the "Initial Order") on April 15, 2005 protecting KKI from its creditors while it restructures its affairs under the CCAA. The Initial Order appointed Ernst & Young Inc. (the "Monitor") as Monitor of the property and business of KKI.
